What the project set out to do

  • Provide administration, welfare, and technical office space
  • Integrate with the mill's power and water utilities
  • Deliver on a compressed programme aligned with the mill's commissioning
Challenges

What we were up against

Remote logistics

The Ogoja location required careful materials-supply planning to prevent programme disruption.

Utilities integration

The building had to tie into the mill's dedicated substation and water-treatment infrastructure.

Approach

How we delivered

Bulk material campaigns

Consolidated deliveries reduced logistics risk and unit cost on remote-site materials.

Engineering

Reinforced-concrete frame with block infill, single-cell electrical distribution board fed from the mill LV substation, and connection to the mill potable-water reticulation.

Execution

Delivered under lump-sum contract with in-house supervisory team and local labour development. Programme managed on MS Project.

Quality

All finishes handed over snag-free after third-party QS inspection.

Outcome

Building commissioned in time to receive administration and technical staff for the rice-mill startup phase.
